Jamie
Jamie graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from
Barnard College at Columbia University, earning top prizes in Economics and minoring in
Spanish and Political Science. She teaches high school mathematics in New York
and has completed a two year service commitment through Teach for America.
Jamie’s students consistently score among the highest in their peer group. She
enjoys traveling through Spain and Italy and connecting to her family’s
Sicilian roots.
Jamie works with students across high school subjects, including Spanish, History, English, Economics, and – her passion – mathematics. She prepares students for SAT, ACT, SAT II, AP Exams, GRE, and GMAT.
Ben
Ben graduated cum laude from the University of
Pennsylvania with majors in English and Creative Writing. He taught high school
English in the South Bronx as part of Teach for America and earned a Masters in
Teaching from Fordham University. In his first year of teaching, 100% of his
students passed the New York State English Regents exam. Ben was recently
selected for a prestigious Fulbright award to research and teach in South
Africa.
In his free time, Ben is a professional spoken word artist who has shared the stage with the likes of Mos Def, Saul Williams, and Beyonce.
Ben works with students in: SAT I, ACT, SAT II subject tests in English and math, AP English Language and Literature, GRE, and the TOEFL.
Jen
Jen
earned her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, where she concentrated
in the selective Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs with
a minor in Near Eastern Studies. Jen has years of one-on-one tutoring and
teaching experience. She has worked as a
research assistant for the prestigious Washington Institute for Near East Policy
and is currently pursuing both a Master’s in Security Studies and a law degree
at Georgetown University. Jen enjoys spending time with her dog, Kelly,
and loves to learn about her students’ pets as well.
Jen helps students prepare for the SAT, ACT, several SAT II and AP exams, the GRE, and LSAT.
Ram
Ram earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics
from Princeton University, where he also authored two papers to be published in
a prestigious physics journal. Ram taught high school mathematics in Chicago as
part of Teach for America.
In his free time, Ram enjoys playing the tuba, exploring current Hip Hop and fashion scenes, as well as dabbling in probability and elementary number theory. He has a special place in his heart for math, physics, and the German language.
Ram helps students prepare for the SAT, ACT, several SAT II and AP exams, the GRE, and GMAT.
Sunjay
Sunjay
graduated with High Honors and Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College, majoring
in Biochemistry and minoring in Mathematics. He taught high school chemistry in
the South Bronx as part of Teach for America and earned a Masters in Teaching
from Fordham University. Sunjay scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT
twice, and has been accepted to NYU Medical School. He enjoys cooking almost as
much as he enjoys eating.
Sunjay helps students prepare for the SAT, ACT, several SAT II and AP exams, GRE, and MCAT.
Caroline
Caroline graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University, where she was a member of the Varsity Fencing Team. She spent nearly two years as a Wall Street investment banker and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University. Caroline has years of experience teaching and tutoring at the high school and college level. In her spare time, she coaches fencing.
Caroline helps students prepare for the SAT I, several SAT Subject Tests, AP exams, and the GRE. She is also a whiz with college essays, resumes and applications.
